Rtn. Bandimut Manjunath Bhat born on 21.05.1960 at Bandimut, Hanehally Village, Barkur, Udupi District. He completed his B.B.M. Graduation at Poornaprajna College, Udupi and Joined CA Rajaram Shetty and Co., Chartered Accountants for his CA Articleship and completed CA Inter. He completed a Diploma in Taxation from Mysore University and LLB from Vaikunta Baliga Law College. He started his profession in 1986 at Brahmavara as a Regd. Income Tax and Sales Tax Practitioner and Auditor.
He joined the Rotary Club of Brahmavara in 1989 and became President of Rotary Brahmavara in 1999-2000 and during that year he won 33 District Awards including Best Club and Best President Awards. He also honoured by R.I. President citation Award of Rotary International President. He worked as District Interact Chairman for 3 years and installed more than 180 New Interact Clubs in undivided Rotary District 3180. Also became Assistant Governor Zone-2 in the year 2003-04, opened record of 5 New Rotary Clubs in the Zone. He also served as DGNNC member in 2006-07 and District bifurcation Committee member of Dist. 3180.
He has been serving at the District level in various capacities in District 3180 and present District 3182 Since 1995, he has attended all District Conference and District Assemblies and had 100% attendance in club weekly meetings. He has served as District portfolios over the years and also served as District Secretary Administration in 2010-11.
He is working as Managing Trustee of Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple and Sri Kshetra Nagaradi Bundimut since 1986 and has completed development work of more than 2.50 crore in the temple.
Presently he is the president of Udupi District Tax Bar Association, Udupi Dist, Director of Krishna Industrial Co-operative Society, Udupi, Director of M.s Prathvi Apartment, Brahmavara, Director of M/s Brahmavara Promoters, a unit of Tourism Project Brahmavara and also Managing Director of M/s Coastal Paradise, Pandeshwara Sasthana Tourism Project.
He is also Life member of Udupi Dist. Chamber of Commerce and life member of Brahmavara Sports Club, Brahmavara. He Elected as Rotary Dist. Governor of Dist. 3182 for the year 2026-27 unanimously
He was awarded as Best President of Rotary District 3180 and he is a Paul Harris Society Member and He is also honoured as Major Donor and he was also awarded Best Social Worker by Udayavani Balaga and Jana Prathinidhi Pathrike, Kundapura. He has visited USA, Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Thailand, Dubai, Abhudabi, Malaysia, Signapore, Nepal and attended more than 1O Rotary Club meetings abroad.
He married Veena M. Bhat, a MA B.Ed. graduate who served as Graduate Assistant at
S.M.S. PU College, Brahmvara. They have a son Prabhava, B.E. in Electronics and Communication and Masters Degree (MS) at Southern California University, Los Angles, US, presently working at prestigious company "GOOGLE" at California US, and daughter Prathvi who completed her M.D. in Anesthesia; presently working at prestigious Hospital KMC, Manipal. Reading,Travelling and Social works are his hobbies.
